At BHF FC, we know just how much hard work goes on behind the scenes to make everything happen. So we wanted to take a moment to recognise someone who has dedicated so much of his time and effort to the club and the cause – our founder, Gary Burr.
Gary founded BHF FC in 2018, following the sad passing of his Dad. What started as something deeply personal has grown into something truly special, bringing people together and help players mental health through football while raising much-needed funds for the British Heart Foundation.
Since setting up the club, Gary has worked tirelessly organising matches, bringing players together, arranging events and finding ways to raise money for such an important charity. The amount of time, commitment and effort he puts into BHF FC is incredible, and so much of what we have achieved wouldn’t be possible without him.
We felt it was about time we showed Gary just how much that hard work is appreciated.
As a little thank you, we arranged a special personalised pair of XCORE SPORT Carbon Fibre Shin Pads, complete with Gary’s name, number and the BHF FC logo.
A small gift, but one with a big meaning – a way of recognising everything he has done and continues to do for BHF FC.
We’d also like to thank XCORE SPORT for providing the fantastic carbon fibre shin pads. You can find out more about their products at www.xcoresport.com.
Gary, thank you for everything you do. Your dedication, passion and commitment have helped build something that makes a real difference, and we’re incredibly grateful for everything you continue to do.
Here’s to many more games, fundraising events and money raised for the British Heart Foundation!
From everyone at BHF FC – THANK YOU, GARY!
